The room with a very minute workmanship.
In the room, while the prince Aadhitha Karikaalar is sitting on the throne, in front of him, there stands Vandhiyathevan , the hero of this story, a very handsome and fascinating youth with the broad and expanded shoulders. There a dagger and a sword in the sheaths are hanging on either side of his waist.
In the right hand of Vandhiyathevan, there are two cylindrical conduits with the length of one foot by having been rolled with a silky cloth.
The prince Aadhitha Karikaalar talk to Vandhiyathevan. In this speech, there remain a carefulness and seriousness.
Aadhitha Karkaalar — “ Vandhiyathevan, I know that you are purely a warrior. And I, having felt that you are a good intellectual, entrust this very huge responsibility to you. In these two palmyra epistles which I have given now to you…, you should hand over one leaf to my father the Emperor and one another leaf to my sister Kunthavai. I hear about something else about even the higher and higher officials of the Thanjavoor Kingdom. So, the message that I have sent should not be known to anybody else. That you are taking the epistles from me shouldn’t be known to anyone what so ever an important person he is. On the way, you shouldn’t fight with anybody else. It is not enough that you are not going for a voluntary fight but that you should not be involved even if anybody comes voluntarily to fight with you. I know well about your bravery. You have proved it so many times. So, there won’t be any disgrace for you, even if you move away from a voluntary fight. Particularly, you should behave very carefully at the Pazhuvettariyas ( the three governing nobles of that region) and at Madhuraandhagar, the younger brother of my father. They should not know who you are! It should not strictly be known to them that why you are going!”
Vandhiyathevan gazes at the eyes of the prince.
Vandhiyathevan — “ I understand. You have told me about the matter which I should talk to the emperor in person. I return with the success after having fulfilled your willingness.”
The prince Aadhitha Karikaalar looks at Vandhiyathevan.
Vandhiyatheven — “ Bless me….!”
He bows his head down before the prince.
Vandhiyathevan leaves out of that room.
The prince Aadhitha karikaalar notices his departure , by having been seated on his throne.
The securities who stand outside the room with their javelin and rod show yet more stiffness when Vandhiyathevan leaves out.
The very big surrounding campus of the palace…
The moving persons…
Vandhiyathevan comes with his heroic walk towards the horse which stands under a tree. He takes in hand the javelin which has been let be hanging vertically along with the body of the horse. He very easily jumps and mounts on the horse. Holding the javelin in his right hand, he operates the horse by knocking at the belly region of the horse. It comes on running slowly and approaches the entrance of the palace.
The body guards and the securities yield a way to him at the door with politeness, Vandhiyathevan leaves out of the palace entrance.
Now the speed of the horse increases slowly up. The long hair of Vandhiyathevan spreads out and flies in the facing air. He increases the speed yet more by swaying his head. As the hoofs of the horse compress down on the earth, the particles of the topsoil scatter and disperse away all the four sides.
With the effect of the background music that indicates the symptom on the possible happening of a very big cyclone, earth quake and Tsunami, the speed of the horse increases more and more and the appearance of Vandhiyathevan gradually vanishes with the horse. The prince Aadhitha Karikaalar has been noticing all these by standing on the terrace that is at the top of the palace.
The wording “PONNIYIN SELVAN” appears on the screen along with a circumstantial music which you might not have heard off so far.
